Curtain Enquiry FAQ

Air Freight Estimate

Fill in the fields below to get a quick air-freight estimate based on your destination and fabric details.

How to Use the Air-Freight Estimate

This tool gives you a quick air-freight cost estimate based on your destination and fabric details. The result is for reference only; the final shipping charge will be confirmed in our quotation.

Steps

  1. Country (required) / State or Province (optional) / ZIP or Postcode (optional)
    Select your destination. Adding state and postcode improves accuracy.

  2. Quantity
    Enter how many identical curtains you are ordering.

  3. Curtain Size (required)

    • Window width (cm): the total coverage width when fully extended.
      If unsure, use the longer side as the width.

    • Curtain height (cm): finished height from track/rod to the bottom.

  4. Fullness ratio (default 2.2×)
    This affects fabric area and billable weight.

  5. Fabric weight (kg/m², required)
    Enter the unit weight of the fabric per square meter.
    Do not multiply by the fullness ratio yourself.

Where to find the fabric weight:
On the product page under “Additional Information” → “Fabric Weight.”
Example: “506 g/m² (≈ 0.506 kg/m²)” → enter 0.506 in the calculator.

Notes

  • Do not enter a “fullness-multiplied” weight. Use the plain fabric weight per m² from the product table.

  • The estimator shows only the total amount to minimize confusion from time-based rate changes.

  • If the billable weight is below the carrier’s minimum for your country, a low-weight surcharge may apply.

  • Duties, customs clearance, remote-area surcharges, and other third-party fees are not included.

  • Oversized/overweight or remote destinations may differ from the estimate; the final charge will be provided by our team.

 1. Fixed Width, Variable Height (Price Based on Height)

In this method, the curtain width is fixed. Simply enter the track width, and the system will automatically calculate the total fabric usage and pricing based on the recommended fullness ratio.

The fabric width (typically 140cm or 280cm) directly affects how many fabric panels are needed:

  • 280cm fabrics result in fewer seams and a cleaner visual effect;

  • 140cm fabrics may require more panel joins, increasing fabric usage slightly.

We will optimize the panel layout and fabric calculation automatically based on your entered dimensions and selected fabric type.

 2. Fixed Height, Variable Width (Price Based on Curtain Width)

In this method, the curtain height is fixed. You only need to enter the desired height and total width, and the system will calculate the required panel count and fabric usage.

If your entered curtain height exceeds 270cm / 106 inches:

  • Some fabrics may be used in a railroaded layout (fabric rotated sideways) to reduce vertical seams;

  • For certain fabrics, additional costs may apply for exceeding the standard height range (e.g., over 270cm / 106 inches).
    (Exact cost will be quoted by our team after you submit the enquiry form.)

However, not all fabrics are suitable for railroaded layout. Whether it is possible depends on:

  • Whether the fabric pattern has a directional layout (e.g., vertical stripes or floral motifs);

  • Whether the weave structure allows for horizontal hanging without affecting the curtain’s drape or appearance.

💡 Don’t worry — our team will assess the characteristics of your selected fabric and confirm with you if any adjustments are necessary to ensure the best balance of size, aesthetics, and quality.

Curtain width refers to the length of your curtain track or the total width of the wall you’d like to cover (in centimeters).
Curtain height is the vertical distance from the bottom of the track to where you want the curtain to end.
For precise instructions, we recommend checking our full measuring guide.

If you already have a curtain rod, check whether it supports pinch pleats (hook style) or grommets (eyelet style). If unsure, you may upload a photo and we’ll help identify the correct type.
For the opening direction, “pull open in the middle” means the curtains open from the center and move to both sides—commonly known as a split draw. It works well for most windows.
“Open from one side” means the curtain draws entirely to either the left or right, which is useful for smaller or asymmetrical spaces.

The pleat ratio refers to how much fabric is used compared to the track or coverage width.
For example, if your curtain width is 350 cm (approx. 137.8 inches) and you choose 2.2× fullness:
350 × 2.2 = 770 cm (approx. 303.1 inches) of fabric will be required.

A 2.2× fullness provides a lush and elegant look, and it also works well with optional high-temperature setting treatment for better appearance.
We usually recommend a range between 2.0× and 2.5×, depending on your preferred style and budget.

Curtain decorative trims refer to fringes or tassels sewn along the edges of curtain fabric to highlight texture and enhance decorative appeal.

Common types include:

  • Tassel fringe: tassels sewn on the edges to add softness and elegance;
  • Beaded or knotted fringe: tassels combined with beads or knots for refined detail;
  • Wide band with tassels: decorative woven bands finished with tassels for a luxurious look.

Purpose: To make curtains appear more elegant and stylish, often used in classic, Chinese, American, or European interior styles.

High-temperature setting is a fabric pressing treatment that enhances drape and makes the pleats look neater and more defined.
While wrinkles during transit are unavoidable, this process helps the curtain regain its shape faster.
Recommended for customers who prioritize a refined appearance.

Our curtains are priced based on fabric usage, measured in meters. (1 meter ≈ 39.37 inches)
Compared to panel-based pricing, this method is more transparent and flexible, accommodating various window sizes and customer preferences.

To help you quickly estimate pricing, we offer two calculators:

  • Fixed Height, Buy by Width – Best for standard height setups, price based on track width

The system automatically estimates fabric usage based on the curtain width, height, and fabric width, giving you better control over your budget.

Our pricing advantages include:
Reasonable processing fees – Typically $2–$4 depending on fabric and technique; sometimes free
Optional high-temperature setting – Improves drape, only $1/m
Auto-conversion system – Real-time estimation based on your input
Dual unit display – Both centimeters and inches for international clarity
Custom hanging & opening options – Suitable for various styles and spaces

You can upload measurement sheets, room photos, fabric swatches, Excel or Word files to help us understand your project better.
